Why is the Summit Home Health Care Insurance List so limited?
At the present time, Summit is not included in the panel of providers for many insurance companies. National home health care agencies can accept lower negotiated rates based on their national volume. As an independent, locally owned agency, Summit Home Health Care does not enjoy the same volume as national companies and, therefore, must often decide on a case-by-case basis whether we can work with the rates offered by some insurance companies.
What about HMO's?
Summit Home Health Care does NOT participate with any managed care programs (HMO's) such as PacifiCare, Secure Horizons or United Health Care.
*Please note that Summit CAN negotiate with some Insurance Companies on an individual basis, depending upon the plan covering the policy holder and the insurance company's willingness to negotiate an acceptable rate.
